"In The Mouth Of Madness" is a way cool blend of John Carpenter's angle on horror and the mythos created by H. P. Lovecraft. The two have a "connect" that is apparent in this film. You can laugh, get creeped out and visit traditional horror concepts in one setting. With a "fly by" on Lovecraft's mythos, I don't know if his hardcore fans will be happy. But I think the shot was honest and reverent. Any movie that makes you laugh, feel the creeps, slips you sideways and honors both a classic writer of horror and a classic director of horror earns a place in any horror collector's library. This is a good film. Rating: SHOCKER! -Bob Martin
